Christmas or Christ-mass?

Posted on November 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM

I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and will make this a short blog post with the hope that it will cause you to search out truths for yourselves.  We are to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  After all, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father but by me." (Jn. 14:6)  We are not to be ashamed of the gospel.  We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength; and love our neighbors a...

I happened upon the following prayer last night, written six years ago. I don’t know if you journal, but the process from composition to recall years later brings me great joy and amazement. It reveals things I forgot God deposited in me, and reminds me at certain times in my life, how He has kept me through all the fiery trials. I feel to share this intimate prayer. Like King David, Solomon, and the other psalmists penned their raw, inspired writings; I too humbly follow in their f...

In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus said to the lawyer who was tempting him regarding which of the commandments of the law was the greatest, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

The following excerpt is from my Facebook page January 1...

“I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Oh HALLELUJAH! Some days, certain things are just not meant to be…BUT PERSIST!  The following comment made after the brother administrating another Christian blogsite went through many trials while getting it up and running.

I have been “challenged”, as Richard has noted, through this new blogging process. But thanks to his patience and persistence, I made it h...

"The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee and give thee peace." (Numbers 6:24-26)

The above scripture is my heart toward all those who prayed for a successful and glorious dedication for our prayer cabin, "Witness". I send it out to everyone locally who helped labor with James and me on the physical building itself. It was more than I could have imagined!

"Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Psalm 127:1

This is a brief update on what's happening with our prayer cabin these days. I actually missed posting a blog last Monday because we have been busy putting finishing touches on "Witness"; (Joshua 22:34) God's house of prayer.

This has been a long-awaited for, and much sought after vision the Lord gave me nine...

Exodus 25:2 "Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me a (heave) offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering."

This may seem like a very unusual topic to write about, but I can't help myself tonight. I feel like I had an "ah-hah" moment this morning, and I want to share it. You will find this account diary-style, more than anything else.

Yesterday, as our pastor was preaching, she m...

"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:27

I have a beautiful testimony to connect with this passage of scripture. A brother in the Lord gave me permission to share it with you. He called me one day last week to inform me his mother, who was in a convalescent home, was close to passing on. His feelings were very mixed because of tense family rela...

"And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;" (Isaiah 49:2)

In the book, "Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life", Charles Swindoll made the following statement that impacted my life:

"Learn your lesson well in the schoolroom of obscurity. God is preparing you as His chosen arrow. As yet, your shaft is hidden in his quiver; but at the precise moment,...

Isaiah 40:29 "He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak."

As I asked the Lord what He wanted to say today, the above scripture stood out to me from the board beside my computer. I need to read it often. At this particular moment in time, I don't know a single soul who isn't stretched beyond what they think they are capable of handling; including myself.

I am conversing with brothers and sisters who recognize a ...
