Christmas or Christ-mass?

Posted on November 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM

I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and will make this a short blog post with the hope that it will cause you to search out truths for yourselves.  We are to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.  After all, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No man cometh unto the Father but by me." (Jn. 14:6)  We are not to be ashamed of the gospel.  We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength; and love our neighbors as ourselves.  The following tidbits of truths set me free from the chaos of the world system surrounding this time of year.  Please note:  I challenge you to look up for yourselves what I am about to say.

First of all, Jesus wasn't born on December 25th.  A majority of ministers know this and still go along with the worlds antics.  Jesus is NOT the reason for this crazy excuse to go-in-debt season.  Christians are just following the world in their frenzy.  There is no need to get upset about what people say or don't say when it comes to the word Christmas.  Again I say, take some time and research the TRUE meaning of it, or Christ-mass, as it came from our Catholic brethren.  Extended definitions can be found in the World Book Encyclopedia and the Catholic Encyclopedia.  The shortened definition of Christ-mass means "death of Christ."  So when we say Merry Christmas, we are actually saying, "Happy death of Christ"!

Christmas is NOT a scriptural holiday.  We can certainly and joyously celebrate Jesus' birth, but not confuse it with pagan practices.  Let us fulfill true religion as found in Isaiah 58, which is to feed the hungry, take the poor in to your house, clothe the naked, and observe the Sabbath as God commanded as a "perpetual covenant and a sign forever".  Let us obey Jesus when he said in Mark 16:15, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature...v17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; v18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

Lastly, why keep lying to our kids?  It is such a let down when the truth comes out that Santa is a fake.  How then do you expect them to believe us when we try to tell them Jesus is real?  Let us keep Christ in our hearts, homes, schools, and government; and be true followers of Him!

JEHOVAH Our Strength

Posted on October 8, 2018 at 6:50 AM

Isaiah 12:2-6 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid:  for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.  Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.  And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.  Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.  Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee."

First of all, let me apologize for the dry spell since my last post.  We are in one of the most hardest hit areas from Hurricane Florence and it has been a whirlwind.  BUT GOD was merciful!  In the midst of it all, we have been praising Him for the great things he has done.

I developed a few sayiings since all this happened.  One, "When prayer is all you think you have left, you find out it is all you really need."

We had a gentleman staying with us who ran out of his heart medication that controlled his heart rate.  WE PRAYED!  And as Isaiah so eloquently stated, "God is my salvation."  God kept this man in perfect rhythm for 1 1/2 weeks...GLORY!

The second saying stemmed from the scripture, "The joy of the Lord is my strength."  I discovered the following:  Out of our sinple act of obedience this joy comes.  God speaks or directs; we receive and respond appropriately, and the joy of obedience and its results, give us our strength.  This can only come from God Himself!  Oh, as Isaiah says many times, Sing unto the Lord and SHOUT!

May all God's people learn this deep and powerful truth.  The thief cannot take this from us.  It cannot be stolen, it cannot be killed, and it cannot be destroyed; HALLELUJAH!  This IS the abundant life in Christ Jesus, Yeshua Hamaschiach!

"Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation"          (II Cor. 5:18-19)

I have just had an epiphany after watching a recent Dane Wigington video on Geoengineering and how our government is waging weather warfare and chemical warfare on Americans.  I knew about the chemtrails, but I didn't know they were manipulating weather conditions and causing such disastrous results, not just here, but around the world.  What I realize now, having studied end-time prophecies in the Bible, scientists, ex-CIA whistle-blowers, and the like; are just confirming what God has laid out as our destiny; and the only hope and answer is found in Jesus Christ.

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my Words shall not pass away." (Matt. 24:35)  The Apostle John wrote the following after an extensive vision from Christ, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." (Rev. 21:1)

Things are wrapping up here very soon in this world.  I encourage you to seek the true and living God through Jesus, his Son NOW!  Set aside just one day and ask Him to reveal Himself to you in a way you will understand.  It is a 'visceral' thing; that is to say, 'beyond human reasoning', yet simple.  FAITH in someone and something you can't see or touch.  Jesus told his doubting disciple, "Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: but blessed are they that have NOT seen, and yet believe." (John 20:29)

Check out the short video I have included a link for, on this toddler that has had an encounter with Jesus.  She keeps saying that he is coming soon.  We will be going up to meet him if we are his children and know him.  King Jesus is coming soon.  God just spoke to one of my congregants recently and told him to tell everyone the same thing.  He has also told me that in the past many times.  I'm hearing it more and more.  It truly is all we have to look forward to and it is for all eternity after this life.

I can't apologize for this being my focal point.  My heart aches for people who don't understand that Jesus truly is the only way, the truth, and the life...and no one can be reconciled to our Father God, Master, and Creator, unless they go through Jesus.  He is the middle man so to speak; AND our mediator.  The blood he shed on the cross atoned for all of humanity's sins so that we have an opportunity to accept his free gift of eternal life, and be born again (spiritually) into His family.

I LOVE YOU MY FRIENDS!  And I don't want you or anyone else saying you never heard the gospel and didn't know this was available to you.  We can repent, and God will forgive.  This is a supernatural act only God can perform in your spirit.  We are spirit, soul, and body.  Once our spirit is re-born and made alive in Christ, our soul and body can follow suit and is no longer a slave to the sin nature we are born with.  It is a process that never ends until we die, or are taken up to be with Him where we will receive new, glorified bodies, GLORY hallelujah!

Jesus wants YOU to know Him!

Proverbs 1:29 "For they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord."

I found this passage and have received it in my heart with fear and trembling. In brief, I have been desperately asking the Lord certain questions for YEARS, only to have the answer boil down to one word: "CHOICE"!

What were some of those questions? How can professing Christians, believers in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah; continue to enjoy their bad habits and live a life of sin? Why do they insist on retaining their bondage when we know Jesus, Yeshua, THE ANOINTED ONE, died to set us free? The act of resisting, or not yielding to the love of God, actually tightens the grip the enemy has on us!

Why? We hear the word preached. We hear testimonies of many who have experienced the POWER of the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. We SEE those who have encountered the liberating freedom of the Word of God, being transformed as they renew their minds with it and by it.

We also know the battle rages between our saved and regenerated spirit man and our soul and body. BUT, the Spirit of God quietly spoke to my heart a few days ago and said, "It is a choice!" The scripture says, "They hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord. Verse 30 goes on to say, "They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof." In other words, humanity did not accept or heed God's word or counsel in the past, and they are not doing a very good job of it in the present.

We all must CHOOSE, every moment of every day; what we will say and do. Joshua 24:15 demands of us to "...choose you this day whom ye will serve." Solomon commanded us to "Fear God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." Eccl. 12:13

We must CHOOSE what is honest, true, just, pure, lovely and of a good report! Philippians 4:8

We must choose to love the unlovable, with God's love. It is the only way we can do it! We must CHOOSE to develop and live by the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22

We must choose to love God because He first loved us! Jesus came and died so that our broken hearts would be healed, and we would be delivered from the evil one! Won't you yield yourselves to the Holy One; the God of Israel; the Great I Am? His Spirit is calling you if you are reading this right now. I encourage you to ACCEPT the choices God has made for you, and let us finish the race victorious! In Christ Jesus, we cannot fail!

John 15:13  "Greater love hath no man than this, That a man lay down his life for his friends."

I chose this passage as the lead off to a statement the Lord gave me about a month ago which is this:

"For many, loyalty only goes as far as its convenience."

Ouch!  So in light of the above scripture, where do we land on the loyalty meter when it comes to our friends; and most importantly God?  You may even be asking how this topic came about.  My blog content is usually a bit different.

The Lord spoke to my spirit when I inquired of him needing some comfort regarding the loss of a very special client, (special to me), I should say.  I had been grooming multiple dogs for them throughout the past 20 years, when suddenly, they informed me they would be using someone else's services; and that driving to my place of business was 'such a hassle'; of the which I had not heard the first thing about.  I always accommodated their schedule as best I could in conjunction with their shopping trips or doctor's appointments.

When another groomer moved in to their neighborhood, literally within minutes of their home, the "friendship/business relationship" ended with me.  I totally get the convenience aspect of the whole thing, but my view of their loyalty and friendship was way off.  The air was let out of my bag, so to speak.

I began to recall in scripture where the same thing happened to many of the well-known of our fellow brethren, AND Jesus, the world's Messiah!  Our Lord and Savior was betrayed for 30 pieces of silver by Judas Iscariot, the traitor.  Peter denied Jesus three times, no doubt believing he would be arrested also.  In Genesis 20, Abraham told the king that Sarah was his sister, why?  Because he thought he would be killed over her.  She must have been a good looking woman!  "Loyalty only goes as far as its convenience."  It is so true.

I ask these questions then:  What is the extent of our loyalty to the God of the universe; Creator of heaven and earth, and ALL that is in it?  (Gen. 1, Psalm 24)

What is the extent of our loyalty to Jesus; the one who died a brutal, criminal's death?  Jesus is the only blood sacrifice God accepted for reconciling all of humanity back to Him.

So this subject begs me to present the times the Holy Spirit of God asks us to do something for someone, but we say, "Lord, this isn't a good time.  I have things of my own to do."  Or, "Lord, I'm tired.  Can this wait?"  I have found that as I yield to His guidance and requests, the more He asks of me.  Why?  "The harvest is great, but the laborers are few."  Luke 10:2  GOD NEEDS LABORERS TO GATHER IN THE HARVEST!

May I remind the saints that we are not our own anymore.  We are purchased by the precious blood of Jesus, and it is our duty to do what He commands, asks, suggests, or any other verb that goes with these.  It is time for the church to serve, not be served.  This statement is said to me by the Holy Spirit more than ever these days.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."  1 John 4 speaks of this kind of love.  Verse 7 states, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."  Please read the whole chapter.  It is beautiful!  In John 15:12, Jesus says, "This is my COMMANDMENT, That ye love one another, as...I...have...loved...YOU!"

Brothers and sisters, my prayer is we will all examine ourselves and make the necessary transformation in our lives; so when we stand before our Judge, The Lord Jesus Christ, we can stand blameless in light of our loyalty to Him!

John 7:16-17 "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.  If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."

I thought the Holy Spirit wanted me to read all of John 7 this morning, but I got stuck on these two passages.  What a gloriously simple revelation!  With child-like faith, we obey God BEFORE we have understanding of everything we think we need.  He is telling us, THEN we will know whether all these false religions and doctrines of devils are of God or not.  THEN we will know what decisions to make in the day.  THEN we will know what we need to know as life unfolds moment by moment.  OBEY GOD, whether we understand it or not.

Psalm 111:10 says it beautifully also, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that DO is comandments: his praise endures forever."

Samuel was trained up from a little child, obeying God and fearing, or reverencing God; by serving in the temple before he became one of the greatest prophets ever.  Abraham obeyed God when he told him to leave all his kin folks and travel to an undisclosed location.  The list goes on and on; but the point is, obedience leads to greater intimacy with God, which in turn leads to greater discernment of what is going on around us.  Why?  It is because the scriptures tell us so.  Our greatest example of all is Christ Jesus, Yeshua, The Messiah.

Hebrews 2:9-10  "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings."

OUR LORD WAS OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH, knowing it would offer humanity salvation to all who believe!

What will our obedience profit us if we are of the same mind?  Think of all the souls we can touch and potentially sweep into the Kingdom of God!  We gain intimacy with God, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding through it.  How pleased Elohim, our Great God, would be with us.

Holy Abba Father:  I pray we would honor You, reverence You, and have a pure desire to know You and obey You; for this is Your will for us.  May we separate ourselves from the snares of this world and exchange chaos, confusion, and false ideals with peace, soundness of mind and truth; which only comes by knowing YOU!  Father, may your people be salt and light in a lost and dying world; pointing them to the only One who can save and redeem them from eternal condemnation.  Jesus, Yeshua...the Way, the Truth, and the Life!  No one can get to You except to believe and confess Yeshua's death on that cruel stake, His burial, and His glorious resurrection; in the all-powerful and holy name of Jesus I pray, amen!

Romans 8:6-7 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”

Our fellowship is beginning a study by Andrew Wommack titled “Spirit, Soul & Body”. It has already impacted our perception of who we are IN Christ Jesus, and the relationship between the three entities determining our ultimate destiny.

The Lord gave me the word “carnality” to piggy-back our study. Understanding a Christian’s carnality reveals the amount of control our spirit-man has over our soul and body, or flesh. Carnality is characterized by the flesh or body, its passions and appetites; its sensuality and carnal pleasures, and is worldly and temporary.

Oswald Chambers states, “The natural man, or unbeliever, knows nothing about carnality. The desires of the flesh warring against the Spirit, and the Spirit warring against the flesh, WHICH BEGAN AT REBIRTH, are what produce carnality and the awareness of it.” THAT fact I did not know until this research revealed it! Paul was in fact speaking to Christians, but it didn’t occur to me that it was unique to them.

Billy Graham said, “Carnal Christians continually grieve the Holy Spirit by their temper, touchiness, irritability, prayer-lessness and/or love of self (the lower side of their being dominates).”

Question: What do we do about it?

Answer: The Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:16, “This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

If you will read on in Galatians 5:16-26, Paul gives us examples of carnality, and then follows it up with fruit of the Spirit.

It is also interesting to note that the first mention of carnality in scripture is found in Genesis 3:6 when Eve was seduced by the serpent: “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”

Eve saw the tree was good for food, it was pleasant to her eyes, and the desire to become wise was stirred up in her. The lust of our eyes, lust of our flesh, and the pride of life will get us every time!

Paul told the Corinthians in 1 Cor. 3 that their carnal minds were hindering their growth spiritually. He couldn’t teach them the deeper things of God he desired to because they were so immature. And so it is with us when we refuse to “Study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed; rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).

I believe in these last days, God needs His church to grow up! Things are getting serious in the world, and Jesus is coming soon! It is time to put away childish things, and seek the deep things of God. May we all repent for our complacency and march on!

Psalm 139

Posted on February 2, 2018 at 7:15 AM

I have written about Jehovah Shammah before.  It means "God is there; he is with you!"  This morning it was impressed heavily upon me to share this awesome name again.

Psalm 23 says in part, "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me..."

And yes...if everyone seems to have abandoned you; Jehovah Shammah, God is with you!

Let's take a look at Psalm 139:

Vs. 1-6 He knows us; he understands us; and all our ways.  We can't say anything, and he doesn't know our intent of speaking.  He has placed a hedge of protection around us, and his hand is upon us.  I know it is all too much for us to understand, but it is true.

Vs. 7-12 There is nowhere we can go and hide from the Omni-present Creator!  Neither the heavens, hell, nor the seas can cover us...HE IS THERE, Jehovah Shammah!  The darkness is as light around us if we try to hide in its midst.

Vs. 13-18 He has fearfully and wonderfully created us and formed us in our mother's wombs.  We are exhorted to praise Him.  How can we not?  The God who spoke the heavens, the earth, and all its content into existence created us!  He LOVES us!  His thoughts toward us are greater than the grains of sand.

Vs. 19-22 He is our unconditional loving Father!  How can anyone not love Him?  We take pity on those who don't, and pray they answer His knocking on the door of their hearts.  God's enemies are our enemies, but we must pray for them. (Matt. 5:44)

Vs. 23-24 says, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."  As we all stand naked before Him, may we be able to say this prayer unashamed, because He knows everything about us anyway.

I hope this has blessed you as much as it has blessed me.  I had multiple dreams this morning, of people all around me leaving and forsaking me; BUT GOD will never!

v.1   The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

v. 2   When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

v. 3   Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

v. 4   One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the   beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.

v. 5   For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

v. 6   And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle SACRIFICES OF JOY; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.

v. 7   Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

v. 8   When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

v. 9   Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

v. 10  When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

v. 11  TEACH ME thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

v. 12  Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

v. 13  I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

v. 14  WAIT on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord!

What else needs to be said?

Romans 14:17-19 "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For the one who serves Christ in this way is acceptable to God, AND approved of men. So then, let us pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another."

In scripture the title 'kingdom of God' is referenced 76 times. It is of great importance to take note of its significance. Personally, the phrase has captured my attention for some time. I could say it even enamored my spirit to know more.

Matthew 12:28 says, "But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you." Jesus is saying this to the Pharisees when they literally accused him of casting out devils in the name of Beelzebub. For a long time, I thought it meant in the miracle-working power of God. It does, BUT...if we put in the definition described in Romans 14, it is enhanced! Let us see how it reads: 'But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then righteousness, and peace, and joy is come unto you.' That’s Good News!

Matthew 6:33 "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." What 'things' is Jesus talking about? Food and clothes! People have been, and continue to be, concerned about having enough food to eat and clothes to wear. These are two of three elements of our ministry here in North Carolina. But Jesus went on to say, "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; YET your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"

The key definition inserted: 'Seek ye first righteousness, peace, and joy; and all these things shall be added unto you.' IT IS SO TRUE! In my walk, though circumstances at times seemed bleak, if I kept the focus of my elementary knowledge of what the kingdom of God is, God honored my efforts. I NEVER LACKED ANY GOOD THING! That is one of his great promises in Psalm 23, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want..." Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." More Good News!

Let's look at one more passage; there are many. You can look them up yourselves, insert the above definition, and allow the Holy Spirit to quicken YOUR spirit. It is this kind of revelation I receive at four, five or six o'clock in the morning, that wakes me up and keeps me up through another challenging day.

Mark 14:25 "Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God." This passage struck me this way today. Jesus is saying he will not partake of the fruit of the vine again UNTIL righteousness, peace and joy will be ultimately attained and complete when the new heaven and new earth is forever established. GLORY! Our Savior is holding out, fasting if you will, until all has been reconciled in the universe, back to our Father. This is my simplistic view and interpretation only. But it is MINE as of today, and this excites me!

In conclusion, let us pursue the things which make for righteousness, peace, and joy. The Hebrew for peace is 'Shalom'. When you hear people greet one another by saying, "Shalom", they are actually wishing their brethren total wholeness: physically, spiritually, and materially. It is a beautiful word, with abundant blessings attached to it. SHALOM my friends!
